"I sincerely appreciate Roy Carlson and his staff for their professionalism, expertise, excellent advice, and management of investments made from my 401K after my retirement in 2005. In addition, I am very impressed by the daily influence of their Christian beliefs on their work ethic and choice of investments for my portfolio. I highly recommend Carlson Financial Services."

"My wife and I attended a four day seminar at our church in 2002 with Mr. Carlson and his wife.  The seminar was very educational for both my wife and I.  A short time later my wife and I met with Roy Carlson and I laid out our ideas of what we were looking for.  Mr. Carlson said he didn't see a problem.  I retired in early 2003 and Mr. Carlson took over my 401K and pension plan.  I have been very happy with the way Mr. Carlson has managed our investments.  Our account is above our original investment amount and we draw from this every month.  The best thing our of this working relationship is that Mr. Carlson cares about our finances and our family.  Mr. Carlson and all of his staff have been very attentive to all of our needs and questions.

"I met Roy through a friend of a friend where my wife worked a long time ago.  She came home one night and told me a story of how this investment counselor had doubled the boyfriends' money in a short period of time.  At this time, I was handling my own investments and it was continually taking up more and more of my time.  I was missing some key investment calls, so I asked my wife to get his number.
That was about 10 years ago.  Since then Roy has gone out on his own, and changed brokerage houses a couple of times because they didn't fit his plans for his clients.  He has always been very client oriented, and I believe that this more than anything has been the key to his success (besides the fact that he makes money for them, that is).  Four or so years ago, I decided that my aim for investment had to change as I was nearing retirement and wanted to change from growth to income producing vehicles.  Roy had already earmarked my account for a change and had several suggestions ready.  I have never been afraid to recommend Roy to anyone as he has done a good job for me.  I recently lost my son-in-law, and suggested to my daughter that she contact Roy for financial advice.  She is now a client.  An old family friend who is CEO of a large New England firm is also with Roy through my recommendation.  It was not that he needed the guidance for himself but wanted Roy to handle his investments because if anything happened to him HIS FAMILY would be in good hands!  He has since recommended Roy to many of his friends and business acquaintances.  I am now retired, and living very comfortably off the investments that Roy has recommended throughout the years.  My investment portfolio generates an income that is above what I made while I was working and is also growing at a good rate.  As I have in the past and will now; I recommend Roy Carlson and his organization to any and all who have or will ask."

"Twelve years ago on the death of my brother, I learned I had inherited numerous stocks in different businesses.  I knew nothing about stocks or how to handle them.  I did register them with a stock brokerage firm.  One Sunday morning after church services, Mr. Roy Carlson of Carlson Financial Services informed the congregation that he was holding a seminar on how to handle your financial planning through the Bible Based Money Management Seminar.  At the time, I did not feel it was necessary for me to attend, being that my stocks were already with a stock brokerage firm, but after hearing such positive reports on that seminar, I decided to attend the next one Mr. Carlson held.  What an eye opener to a lay person on stocks, mutual funds, IRA plans, etc.  Mr. Carlson put together for all attending the seminar a financial plan that was very understandable to a lay person.  Through that plan, I learned of better ways to invest my stocks so that I would have an affordable, beneficial retirement plan a few years down the road.  Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Carlson being available to answer my questions and explain the financial planning market in lay person understanding, I am very comfortable of where my money is invested and am becoming more knowledgeable of understanding stocks, mutual funds, and IRA's.  Mr. Carlson is an asset to the financial planning market."

"About nine years ago, my wife and I decided to retire.  We were quite cautious about making this decision and tried to get as much help as we could.  Finally, we felt we had enough funds to maintain our lifestyle and provide for the future.  We took the big step and contacted a "big company" to manage our life savings.  They assured us that our money could be invested so that we could get a suitable monthly income without hurting our initial investment amount.  In other words, we could live off the interest our money would make.  My wife and I lack the knowledge necessary to invest our own money, so paying a fee to this "big company" seemed like a good idea.  BUT, year after year we watched our principal diminish.  We became concerned that our money would not last.  BUT, the "big company" assured us that some up and down movement in the market was to be expected and we would be fine in the long run.  They were the professionals after all.  After a few more years of this, we were really upset with the situation.  We didn't know what to do or even where to look for help.  Other "big companies" were telling us the same things and that everybody was losing money.  The only advice they would give us was to spend less and save more.  They were probably hoping to get a chance to mismanage that also.

We were becoming frantic when Roy Carlson entered the picture.  We had met him through some friends at church, and he listened to our story.  He examined our financial records from the "big company" and showed us what happened to our money.  The bottom line was that they were making more money in fees and fund charges than the account was making.  We had no idea we were paying  these charges.  They were never explained, discussed, or offered us a strategy to provide us with a necessary income while protecting our investment for the future.  As our portfolio was set up, Roy made sure we understood everything in the process.  Things happened just as we had been told, and we have been more than pleased with his efforts.  Retirement is much better when you don't have to worry about whether or not you are going to receive a paycheck.  Even though Roy has our business, he still talks to us monthly to ensure that our questions and concerns are addressed.  Roy is a Christian man with Christian values, which makes him a very comfortable person to do business with.  We consider ourselves very fortunate that he was placed in our path and the impact he has made in our lives."
